Where Have All The Poppies Gone?

After several good years for poppies, they seem to have disappeared this year.

This road-side shot is the best I could find!

Think they must've made way for the daises, never seen so many of those as this year..
Great colour combination & DOF in the shot..

I love this photo. I tried growing them this year. They got no bigger than a penny.

It is Al Gore's fault. He discovered global warming. We are all in peril.

The global warming word is that by 2050 our wine industry in Australia will no longer exist & that the best vineyards will be growing in the UK...maybe the Poppies have moved north to Greenland !!
Nice looking combinations, John.

It's still a beautiful image John, especially with the white daisies. Love the focus on the front poppy and the blurry bits.
Zak16-Jun-2008 21:26
they've all moved to Bute! ;-)

What a beautiful splash of colour this is. Sadly we have very few poppies round here at the moment.

I can't find any either... this is lovely with the reds & whites, great DOF too!

Lovely image. I tried to create a similar shot yesterday and failed abysmally. Oddly there seem to be a large number of poppies in the fields near me, so I guess the answer to your question is Hertfordshire is where the poppies have gone :)
