High Dynamic Range Project

This is an attempt to create an extreme dynamic range picture using Photoshop CS2 merge to HDR

The method is to combine several pictures (3 to 10) into one 32bit HDR (32 bits per channel) image.
I chose one stop difference for each picture. When you take the pictures just change the exposure time not the aperture.
This image is not displayable well on the monitors because they cannot display 32 bit of data. What you do then is transform the image to 16 bits per channel where most Photoshop commands work. Then you can sharpen and use the Shadow Highlight command to make it as good looking as you like.
You must use a very steady tripod to take the pictures because even the slight movement from picture to picture will result into a un sharp final result. Do not even think of handholding the camera and take a series of pictures.

With careful work very amazing results can be achieved.

Best regards,

John
