This was my second visit to Malaysia. The first being in 2004. This time it was a little shorter. My intention was to climb Mount Kinabalu again however, since my last trip the world has discovered Sabah and it's mountain and now requires climbers to book up to 6 months in advance. So, with time to kill I travelled around Sabah and spent additional time in Sandakan. From Kota Kinabalu I flew to Mulu via FAX to see the Gunung National Park. I'll have to go back because I didn't get to see the Pinnacles. A limestone formation not unlike the Stone Forrest outside of Kunming in China. Perhaps on my next trip I'll get to climb Mt. Kinabalu again...
