It was the annual fireworks bash last weekend at Lyttelton but it wasn't very brilliant. Fog shrouded the port and the highest displays were seen only by astronauts. This was about the only snap that succeeded out of several muffed attempts. And then it was all over. Rupert was on patrol and caught a fish...which, apart from flies, is all that he has ever caught. And that was only because it was dead.
