A few cows scavenge in the snow for breakfast near Methven on the Canterbury Plains. A couple are presenting their backsides which is unusual as they usually take a great deal of interest in me....from their front end that is. They must be hungry. If they were sheep though I wouldn't have seen anything but a swarm of rear ends and they would have been half way up those hills by now.
