The Lincoln Summer Home was a beautiful house. Only outside photos were allowed but the inside was very well preserved by a local historical society. Home to the Lincoln family who also kept homes in Chicago and New York. Robert Todd Lincoln was a prominent Republican, who at one time was CEO of the Pullman Railroad Co. and Ambassador to the Court of St. James. An avid golfer, the last 2 photos showed the size of his driving range. The observatory was the purview of his daughter, who was an avid astronomer, airplane pilot, horse fanatic and all-round adventurer. Definitely not your typical woman of the times.
