The Kelpies tower 30 metres above the Forth & Clyde canal in Falkirk and form a dramatic gateway to the canal entrance. Sculpted by Andy Scott, The Kelpies are a monument to horse powered heritage across Central Scotland.
I'd seen pictures of them, watched an hour long documentary about how they were designed and built, and still I wasn't prepared for how spectacular they are in the flesh. They are simply mesmerising.
If you're in Scotland go there, no excuses, you will not be disappointed.
