Flying high

Lumley Castle has been in the Lumley family for 700 years but has been run by No Ordinary Hotels since 1976. They recently went into administration so it was threatened with closure. However Richard Lumley, the 13th Earl of Scarbrough, and his trustees, partnered with Bespoke Hotels have taken over secure 120 local jobs.
Nice to see the flag flying again, the previous tenants couldn’t even be bothered to put a flag out when the late Queen died.

This piqued my interest so I went to their website.
The room rates are quite reasonable and it seems like a unique experience.
