When I was a kid, we had a soapbox car race just outside our village once a year. Maximum weight and working brakes was the only regulations. There’s no comparison to today’s races where all cars look the same. Unfortunately in the first run, my rear axel broke, making the car serf to the left. A steel wire ,fencing a cow pasture caught me at the chinstrap of my helmet, and pulled me out of the car, (luckily I didn’t have a crash bar) wich went on to hit a spectator and eventually crash into a tree. If the wire caught me half a inch lower this gallery would end here. Then again who would have written it this far.
