After 1989 we finally where Juniors champions again. It was a crowning finish for veterans Oliver Labhart, Pitcher, and Tobias Siegrist Catcher, both members of the under 16 national team. The Pitcher and Catcher of the opposing team, Can B. und Rico Ineichen of the Hüneberg Unicorns, where also on the national team. Right in the first inning, leadoff batter T. Siegrist walked and stole second. An error by the third baseman while stealing third, allowed him to score. It remained one to nothing till the top off the sixth inning. With two outs, the throw of Oliver Labhart on a bunt play, pulled first baseman Thomas Hüppi of the bag. The Unicorns Catcher Rico Ineichen, who just had rounded third on the bunt never stopped. T. Hüppi threw home, and Tobi nailed Rico at the plate for the final out. There’s justice after all, since T. Siegrist was the Catcher who lost the ball in the 10th inning in the 1994 finals. The Unicorns Pitcher by the way lost a no hitter. That doesn't happen very often either
