In 1995 after 15 years, Werner Zingg quit as president and coach. I took the job as second team coach. Since a number of veterans also left the team, the majority of the board did not think the players I had left would stand a chance in the NL B. So the team had to voluntarily stepped down in the first league. I proofed them wrong.We had a ten game winning streak, till we lost our first game., we made the playoff easily. There were three teams, who fought for the title. Each team won and lost two games, witch left us where we started. So a one day tournament was organised. Playing time and innings to be played was limited. We won the first game and fought back a two run deficit to TIE the second game, giving us three points. As we watched the team we tied, loose against the team we beat, we became 1.league champions. I bet there're not many coaches to be able to claim they managed in a tie ballgame!!!!!!!
