ZSC IS HOCKEY CHAMPION OF EUROPE !! When this whole thing started, most people looked forward to a couple of interesting games against Europe’s top teams. Then the whole thing started to gain momentum, as the team collected win after win. More and more people started to say, “Why not ?”. To play in the final, and really deserve to be there, began to excite the whole country, and not just the ZSC fans. After leading 2 - 0 in Russia, and having to settle with a tie, at only forty somewhat seconds to go, gave the fans the feeling that the ZSC could win this. The “Z” did more than that, sending the Metallurg Magnitogorsk home by a five to zero defeat.
