First of all, congratulations to the Geneva Dragons for winning the cadets Swiss championship 2006. Anything from here on, is by no means meant to disrespect what the players and their coach accomplished

This kind of things happens a lot to us, when the cadets play an important game. Even if the federation rules state, that the organizing team supplies the umpires, in a game as important as a championship final, it wouldn’t be to much to ask to have neutral umpires supplied by the league. And if the umpires are supplied by the home team, it should preferably not be some teenagers, who’s outfit more closely resemble pyjamas, than a umpire uniform. As the umpires looked on, the coach of the Dragons lollygagged around filling out the lineup card at game time, so the we could not start till fifteen minutes after scheduled time. The first game was lost 4 to 2, the second game 9 to 6, after blowing a 6 to 1 lead. Now, of cause you never loose a game because of the umpires, but they certainly can help you a little bit. And it would also have been nice if somebody of the Swiss baseball federation came by, and handed over the awards to the winning team. Ups....here I go again, ......criticizing the federation, guess I wont get a Christmas card this year either.

And by the way, you’re probably not drunk, and there’s nothing wrong with your eyes, the field actually is lopsided at a terrifying step angle.
