Unaweep is an unusual canyon, in that watercourses flow out of both ends of the enclosure; there's a pass in the middle of the canyon, and a pair of streams origin at that point, one traveling in each direction. Almost magical.
I decided that my reason for preferring the black and white on a few of the photographs where other people seem to love the Natural reds is my growing up in West Texas and the latent memory of red dust sandpapering my face. :)
