Horseshoe Canyon was originally called Barrier Canyon, before a local elected official discovered that changing the name would garner him support from area ranchers. (The watercourse flowing through it is still called Barrier Creek, because he wasn't allowed to change that part.) This view is from about halfway down the trail into the canyon bottom.
