I had a marvellous time having lunch with Ken Bedford and Malcolm Ross on 17th February 2012, the first time I had seen Ken, since he and Dorothy came to our wedding in 1962, 50 years ago! He's now 90 and had some health problems recently but is now pretty well recovered. Sadly Dorothy died a year ago following a stroke some years previously.

Ken was in good form and we had some fascinating chat about engines and models ancient and modern and the way team racing has developed amongst other things. He was very pleased to meet again and asked particularly to be remembered to Don Walker who unfortunately was not able to join us. Ken remembers, which I had forgotten, that in the latter days he sometimes pitted for us and recalled an occasion when we took off in different directions round the circle; I got it wrong so he enquired where I had been when I finally joined him at the model!
