John In 1955 I picked up the R A F Review mag and it featured an article on German aircraft development in the last war.
The Ju 287, with the swept foreword wing,the theory being all wing movement and flexing would be lost at the root of the wing and the fuselage. So I made a prototype V1 slab sider to assess the merits it flew fast and stable so the model V2 was built.
