DREAM~~~DARE~~~DIVE!!! :):):)

I am named John for Hannah's dear love, John, my great~grandfather...proud that my mom and dad carry on family traditions. This cherished photo was taken in 1862 at Coyne House Hotel, her father's Mount Forest inn on the Canadian frontier. My loving paternal grandfather, my Pop Ireland, shared his amazing boyhood stories. He passed his treasured family photos to me.

Look at those tiny shoes. What treasures old photographs are. And to have an oral history to go with it is priceless.

A moment right out of the past...
I've started posting a few oldies after becoming the
bearer of all the family pics too. Got 40 pounds of them
that I'm still going through.

These old photos say so much! Thanks for sharing it with all of us. She was a very pretty baby! I wonder how they got her to hold still knowing what they went through when trying to take pictures back them!

WHOA JOHN! This is great... I have so many of these old photos too from my great-grandparents. I love going through them and studying each detail... from their facial expressions (or lack of)... to the inks used, techniques, composition.

Thanks so much for sharing.
