These images have been made at the site of "Zaanse Schans". This area gives an impression how the different traditional types of wind mills,houses and warehouses looked like in the 17th ad 18th century. In this time the "Zaanstreek" was one the world's first industrial areas. Hunderds of windmills produced linseed oil, mustard, paint, paper and also processed wood.
