1921 - Orchestra for the musical "Shuffle Along"

With composer-lyricist and conductor Eubie Blake at the piano

"Shuffle Along," by Noble Sissle and Eubie Blake, ran for 504 performances, an unusually long run
at that time. It launched the careers of Josephine Baker, Adelaide Hall, and Paul Robeson.
It was such a hit that at curtain time it caused traffic jams around the theater.
