By Elie Nadelman.
These gigantic statues were recreated from smaller versions in plaster and paper that Nadelman made c. 1929.
They were brought into the theatre just before the 4th wall was closed up, before the Lincoln Center leadership
could order their removal, which they did, but the statues could no longer be removed. So here they are on the
promenade level of The David Koch Theater, Lincoln Center, New York City, USA
