This is a selection of wild animals that I photographed on my 2nd visit to Kenya in February 2012.
All the grass and savanna were very dry as the rain had not yet arrived. This was in stark contrast to my last visit in November 2008, where the plains were green and lush.(see my Wild Kenya site for 2008). Sites visited were Samburu National Reserve, Lake Nakuru National Park and the Masai Mara National Reserve.
Lake Nakuru was a little disapointing as we did not see any Rothschilds Giraffes and the lake was full. This meant that as there were no mud flats, only a few flamingos were present. However, the trip was still very enjoyable. I hope that visitors to this site enjoy the pictures posted.
