Salcombe

Salcombe, one of the most picturesque seaside towns in SW England is located at the southernmost tip of Devon near the mouth of a ria (submerged river valley) which extends right up to Kingsbridge in land. Often when I visit the tide is too far out, but today on a bright and sunny early autumn day, it was almost fully 'in' so I took a ride on a riverboat to see what the place had to offer from the rather different viewpoint of it's 'back yard'. It was a most enjoyable trip and the DSLR had to be set to offer faster shutter speeds with the 100-300 zoom lens to compensate for the motion of the little boat. Anyway, I hope you'll find something interesting here...
