Peggy at speed in the sand

Just look at her face! We want to be able to let them run free
for the sheer joy they get from it. However, for many this is
just not possible except in safe fenced enclosures.
Fortunately in Peggy's mind small dogs are understood to be 'real' dogs
and can be played with rather than chased down or hunted. Even so it pays to
be certain what might be around and to use a muzzle if in doubt.
Greyhounds see muzzles as positive things associated with having a good fast run.

I forgot to tell you that I had a greyhound once and I will never forget the fear I felt the first time I let Hunter off lead and he came flying right at me. I was sure I would be killed! Luckily, I guessed which side he would run to and jumped out of the way in the nick of time! Scary!!!
