Yes, a Martingale collar (a broad one with a narrow or broad joining strip that pulls tight up to the D rings on each side but no further) not only looks great but is very helpful with a nervous dog that might know how to jink and twirl at the end of the lead and back out of a standard collar. You have to make sure they're fitted properly each time you go walking or occasionally if the dog puts its head down to sniff it might fall off over its ears. But you have to put a leather collar on tight too so it's not a problem. John.
A friend of mine once had a rescued greyhound and she bought her a special wide collar similar to this one. This is a lovely photo. I hope Peggy is enjoying her new life far from the race tracks. She must think she's gone to doggy heaven with the good life she now has. V
