We're looking down into a heather-clad valley from the top of Exmoor in Devon.
In the distance are the waters of the Bristol Channel and beyond them you can
just make out some details of South Wales.
Angel so loved exploring places like this under the gentle warmth of an English
summer sun, the rustling grasses, the heathers and the bracken, the heady bouquet
of wild flower perfumes on the gentle breeze, the frisson of excitement when she
found a rabbit trail, perhaps a deer, but more likely a vole. And all this came
to a dog abandoned in a rescue pound whose life outlook was so bleak all those
years ago due to a serious injury to her shoulder.
Things came good, very good, the best.
