The fretboard, in precious old mahogany, is cut to length & painstakingly slotted. After slotting I
should have glued it onto the neck and planed it to the same width but, half asleep from a late night,
I started putting the frets in straight away. This meant that I couldn't plane it: I had to finish
fretting then glue it to the neck and file down the fret ends and the fretboard together - a much
longer process.
