Spec:
Frame: Surly Long Haul Trucker
Shifters: Shimano 105 9-spd, vintage 1999. They never die.
Front derailler: Shim 105 ditto
Rear ditto: Shim Deore
Chainset: Shimano M443 Octalink Triple - 26/36/48T - 170mm
Cassette: Shimano Deore 11-34T
Wheels: factory-built Exal rims, Shimano hub rear, Shimano N-72 dynamo front
Lights: Front B&M Ixon IQ Cyo, rear Cateye something or other. Had it for years.
Pedals: SPD/flat combo. I don't like them, I'm going to replace them with double-sided MTB pedals
Saddle: Brooks Flyer. Weighs half a ton, creaks like a ship in a heavy sea. Have to do a job on it.
Rack: rear, Zefal Raider; Front, yet to be chosen, probably Tubus lo-rider
Brakes: Shimano Altus cantilever. I was shocked at the drop in quality of these vs. the Shim Altus on my old MTB, which weren't bad at all.
Shimano must have been cost-cutting, and the result is horrible. I'll be replacing them with something better.
Mudguards: Zefal something or other with a home-made spat on the front one.
