La Hoube is the village in the middle distance - dunno what that great barrack is. Dabo Rock is a chunk of raised beach with a chapel dedicated to Pope Leo IX, who came from Alsace.

Though we have the geologic, we're mostly missing the human history on our rides. Seems you've always got something interesting to lure you up the next hill or around the next corner.
