The three of them, they always run,
An endless marathon.
The slowest one is short and fat,
and slowly trudges on.
The middle one is tall and slim,
and keeps a steady pace.
The fastest one moves like the wind,
and always leads the race.
"He's lithe and nimble, loves to run",
the other two will say.
"But though he's first and quickly done,
he's second all the way."
Who are the three runners?
The 3 hands of a clock:
Hour = short and fat and slow
Minute = tall and thin
Second= quick and nimble
