I just had to have one. I went out to Fry's today and bought a Zune. I wanted to have some type of portable device for stuff and I had been borrowing Ginny's iPod classic for tunes at the hangar. At the previously mentioned surprise party for Ginny, I got to talking to Bloke about portable devices. He has been through many of them. He had a Zune and I thought it was pretty neat. We got plenty of time to talk about them as the females were outside fretting about the color of the door on Bloke's house or some other irrelevant thing. Wingy has a Zune as well. It is interesting that the iPod classic and the 80 gig Zune are priced exactly the same. The Zune has three advantages: (1) a nice big screen, (2) wireless synch and the ability to synch with other zunes and (3) a built in FM radio receiver. I have to admit that iTunes is somewhat better software, but the other features certainly outweigh that shortcoming. And now that I have achieved residency in the 21st century, I will enjoy my new toy. BTW - Ginny has already asked to borrow it.
