As Rich can tell you, sometimes getting oil where you want it is a pain. You just can't get there with the spray nozzles on the cans or with the snout on an oil can. Well, I figured it was about time to put something together to do it more easily. I squandered about two hours scrounging and fiddling. I went to Harbor Freight and found this cheap Chinese made oil can and cut the spout in half and connected the two pieces with a 3 foot piece of vinyl tubing. Works like a champ! I need to do some refining, but for first crack out of the box it worked quite well.

where do you apply the flubber? i don't even want to know where you had to put your oil. this looks like something a GI doctor would use. as for quadratic equations, they were recently replaced with lunatic equations by the great Professor Cursing....

I was hoping that this nice picture and its delightful explanation involving the most basic of physics would remain unsullied by the mere mention of The Evil Math or its various debauched numerical relatives. As for quadratic equations, I don't recall that they made my brain hurt or gave me nightmares. However, the fact that I have NOT EVEN ONCE used one since high school is somehow satisfying. Life is too short to be tainted by Number Relationships from Hell.

Whereas Dave and I see them as tools to be used by Thomas de Torquemada.
And I aint talking Tommy Torque, the man who invented the famous wrench.

Seems you and Dave share the same feelings. I regard quadratics as mere training wheels.

Well if differential equations are any relative to quadratic equations they should be harmed, they should be terminated at birth.
Did I mention that I hate quadratic equations, when I had to learn about quadratic equations it made my brain hurt.
And did that evil math teacher care, of course he did not.
He said just relax with these algebraic problems.
Did I mention that I hate algebraic problems.

Why, Thank You Dave. I wish to assure that no differential equations were harmed in the making of this device

Another home-built Cross masterpiece!
