Don't ya just love it. The baseball steroid scandal news conference trumped the Democrat debate! I am sure that the citizens of Iowa will be enraged. MoveOn.Org will start saying that it was a Republican shenanigan to influence the course of the election and George Bush was behind it. After all, isn't that why Karl Rove left the White Housse - to plan this incident? Can't wait for Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to weigh in on the matter.

Dad, let me give you a summary of what happened...
"Blah blah blah, we all hate bush, blah blah blah, universal health care, blah blah blah, why the hell is john edwards even here?"

It's a vicious cycle: people who are honest, caring, and somewhat intelligent could never get elected because too many people don't focus on the issues or they focus on a narrow issue of little consequence. The news media abets this nonsense by giving the people what they want to hear. If a candidate does not believe in getting high on sandstone, I'm not voting for him or her.

Could it be John that the broadcasters feel baseball atars are of more interest and are role models for many people more than politicians, so they rank first. Not saying it should be that way, but maybe it is.
