The scanner is back from Nikon. It arrived yesterday, about a week earlier than I expected. So far I have pushed three rolls of film through it, and it has performed flawlessly. Film scanning is a tedious process. I do a little post processing, which extends the time. I can, however, post process while scanning, so that makes things go faster.
Actually, the device you alluded to is classified. You will have to make contact on an interstellar secure channel using the laser ring guided commando cody decoder apparatus (LRGCCDA), preferably the Mark IV version or higher.
