I was working on my scanning project today. I have the scanner and lap top set up on Robert's desk. I was staring up at the top shelf and noticed these dinosaur models and my mind started to wander, A wandering mind is not unusual. Anyway, the Texas legislature was considering a bill to apologise for slavery. Now, I think that is idiotic. Everybody involved has been dead for a hundred years, but that doesn't slow down politicians. Anyway, I got to thinking that the ultimate humanitarian gesture on the part of all governments would be to apologise for the extinction of the dinosaurs. That would be something that Al (the inventor of the internet) Gore could get behind. Bring on Barbara Streisand, Tim Robbins, Nancy Pelosi and all the other air headed liberal politicians, and you would have on great campaign issue. Jeez, I hate politics.

If I only had time.

Come on, John, tell us what you really think.

The English Prime Minister, and the English church are going to apologise for Englands part in the slave trade. The fact that there is no one to apologise to, is irrelevant.
The fact that the apologisers were not involved is meaningless.
This is what people in charge do to justify their existence.
I eagerly await apologies from the leaders of the African tribes who sold vast numbers of their subjects to the slavers.
Meanwhile I would like to apologise on behalf of all our thick, useless, lying, cheating, thieving, politicians who make us suffer with their total lack of ability to run our country properly.
