Today is Ash Wednesday, and here I am sipping coffee before heading out to the 6am mass at St. Bernadette. I was trying to be quiet so as not to wake Ginny, but she woke up and said she would like to go to the early mass as well. OK, I said, but we have to leave in 15 minutes, can you make it? Any guy knows that female preparations to go out of the house to meet the world can get very time consuming. Ginny is no different that any other female in that regard. However there was an overriding consideration: the 6am mass is very short! Sure enough, she was ready to go in 15 minutes. Father JJ did not disappoint this morning. Ashes, eucharist and all the rest in a blistering 31 minutes! Isn't Catholicism great!
