We arrived at the hotel in Cape Town about noon. Although pretty bushed from the flight (I hardly slept a wink) we headed out to do some touring. Our objective was the Diamond Works, a big diamond merchant. We were met by a guide who gave us a basic education in diamonds and other gems. Very interesting. We found out the light yellow diamonds are much rarer than the white ones and therefore command a higher price. Here is one of the craftsmen grinding a diamond.
