Mission Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz, California, was founded in 1791. The original church building was completed in 1794. As with many of the missions, the church was destroyed (often by earthquakes) and rebuilt several times. The structure is a half size replica of what was thought to be the original structure. Mass is still held there daily. One interesting thing is that three altar statues and the baptismal font are from the original church.
