Happy Valentine's Day everyone! We are celebrating out 52nd one together. I know some of you out there belittle Valentine's Day. Actually, it began in A.D. 496 when Pope Gelasius I declared February 14 the Feast of Saint Valentine. Who was this guy? A common story features a priest who secretly married soldiers against Emperor Claudius II's orders. It wasn't until the time of Chaucer that it became entangled with romance. I like to think about it as a day to spend time remembering the love of my life.
