The carpenters arrived first thing in the morning and they went right to work. The first step was dismantling the wreckage and making a list of materials. After a trip to Home depot they kept at it and finished the repairs in mid-afternoon. Our contractor told us not to manually close the door because it would risk getting to door to collapse. So all the good stuff was moved into the house.
