I spent quite a while over the last couple days pulling together my Lightroom archive of our Christmas pictures. I had them all in a folder, but many were not in my Lightroom database. I needed to be methodical about this because I sure didn't want to screw it up and have to do it over again. So year by year I went through them and moved the old ones (scans) into Lightroom. Part of this process was getting the dates right in the metadata. Ginny also has files with the letters and some calendars which helped quite a bit. When I got to the the digital photos things got easier because the dates were right. I decided to make a special keyword for them, "ChristmasPicture." I can hear you say big deal, but that works a lot better when searching than "Christmas Picture" (two words.)
