Our short road trip was a lot of fun. Saw friends and kids along the way and had nice Christmas celebrations with David's and Robert's families. We were again fortunate that there were hardly any traffic delays along the route. It was only 1796 miles, which is short by our standards. We ended up on two occasions dragging in to the hotel after dark which is something we try to avoid. This time of year, however, the days are short making after dark arrivals more common. There is nothing on the travel agenda right now. That is a topic of discussion at our house.
