I spend a lot of time looking at our pictures. Since we just got back from a trip, I have been going through those photos. There are many stories to tell about things on the trip and the photos are reminders of those things. Today's photo is of the Twin Otter we took from Ofu Island to Pago Pago in American Samoa. The thing that is interesting is the fire truck parked there. There are only a few flights per week to this airport, all of them scheduled. In preparation for a flight arrival, they take the fire truck out and drive up and down the runway to inspect it and look for FOD (foreign object debris) that could damage an airplane. I thought that was interesting, but I am easily amused.
