Out to Bay Area Park this morning. Almost a total absence of critters. There were a couple squirrels around, but I just didn't have the urge to go after them. Out on the boardwalk I found some pretty white flowers and took a few snaps of them. Back at the house I had a look at the photos which were OK. I didn't know what they were. My friend Gordon pointed me in the direction of Google Lens and I had a go at that and found they were broadleaf arrowhead (Sagittaria latifolia). I wouldn't think about looking them up in a guide book because it would take me all day. 'Nuff said.
