The Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio in Oak Park, Illinois, was built in 1889 and added on to through 1909. It is an early FLW design, but touring through it you can plainly see his design elements. One thing that caught my interest is this strong room in the drafting area. Each night all the drawings were gathered up and placed in the locked room. It was fireproof, which was the point of the whole exercise. The Chicago fire was on FLW's mind and he aimed to be prepared.
