Today is Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent. It is also a meatless day for us Catholics. That really isn't such a sacrifice since seafood is not considered meat. We went through Kroger and found they had 16-24 count Gulf shrimp on sale, so we bought a bunch. I cleaned them and prepared a meatless feast for Ginny and me. They were sauteed in butter and garlic, seasoned with Louisiana hot sauce and then topped off with fresh lemon juice. A feast for sure. We cooked up a pound. No leftovers.
