One thing I do whenever I am driving is try to get the best miles per gallon that I can. This involves proper acceleration, braking and mixing with traffic. When I see a red light up ahead I let off the gas and coast until the last minute when I might need to apply the brakes. Any time you use the brakes you are sapping energy from the car at an accelerated rate.
When I go to the shooting range I often leave the house about 6:30. There are exactly 35 traffic lights on the way. Today I was lucky because I got 32 green lights out of 35. And the results show it. Today's photo is of the odometer when I got to the range. I consider 27.3 miles per gallon a pretty good result. That is about the best I have ever had on that route. I am easily amused.
