All things come to an end eventually. We stayed eight nights at the Farm Lodge on Lake Clark and had a great time. We had a flying activity almost every day and had two trips to Brooks Falls to photograph the bears. This morning we flew back to Anchorage to connect with our flight to Houston. Our pilot got us up close and personal with a glacier and iceberg filled lake by flying a couple hundred feet above the terrain. Very cool.
Once in Anchorage we Ubered over to the Anchorage Museum for a visit. We had been there before, but it was decided to return because our flight wasn't scheduled to leave until after 8:00 pm. It was a red-eye flight. The museum wasn't quite as good as we remembered. We think some of the displays had been significantly "dumbed down." We ate our sack lunches in the atrium and just relaxed. About 5:00 pm we Ubered to the airport and went through the check-in festivities. Our flight was delayed about 20-30 minutes waiting for the inbound equipment. The flight was packed, only four seats were not occupied. Ginny managed to get some sleep, but I didn't. We ended up arriving at the gate in Houston only a couple minutes late.
Today's photo is of Ginny in the PA-31 Navajo that took us to Anchorage. We got lots on good photos on the way. It was a pleasant flight.
