We stayed overnight at the Sand Dunes Lodge and were greeted in the morning with a nice view of sunrise over the Great Sand Dunes National Park. The dunes are quite large and they can be seen from miles away. The right combination of winds, moisture, available sand and mountain geography sustain the dunes. Pretty amazing.
