Today Ginny had her first follow-up visit with the retina specialists. Things went well. On the first visit, the doctor did a good job of stabilizing the retinal tear. It was not ideal because there was still quite a bit of blood in the eye. This time things were better and the doctor applied more laser treatments to secure the work. We have another follow-up next week.
Ginny's vision is steadily improving, but there is a long way to go. The doctor says it takes a lot of time. Fortunately, we have three months before we head out on our next adventure.
Again, I was amazed to see how the laser is directed. The doctor wears head gear to which the laser source is attached. Somehow he is able to keep things steady enough to apply the treatment.
